David Ranum is an instrumentation specialist with over 30 years experience in a variety of areas within the environmental field. These areas include instrumentation system design, air toxics monitoring, auditing, water monitoring, fugitive emissions monitoring, the design and installation of continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS), and numerous ambient air monitoring projects using conventional analyzer systems as well as FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) technologies. Since Sage purchased its first IR camera, David has been an eager supporter of the application of this technology to the business of finding equipment leaks (fugitive emissions). David has participated in EPA studies of the IR camera, has given presentations on the IR camera at national symposiums, has conducted a 9-month IR camera study of refinery process streams, and currently responds to requests for incident investigations.
